    Inclusive Education

    Inclusive Education
The National Education Policy (NEP), 2020, recognizing education as a powerful tool for achieving social justice and equality, underscores the importance of inclusive education as a means to foster an inclusive community and society.

By integrating principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion into the education system, we pave the way for broader access to schooling, increased participation in the workforce, and opportunities for lifelong learning for learners of all backgrounds and abilities. This not only benefits individual students but also contributes to the overall development and well-being of society.

A key aspect of translating policy into practice is addressing educational barriers and ensuring that facilities and services are accessible to all learners, including Children with Special Needs (CwSN). The NEP, 2020, recognizes the importance of disability inclusion and dedicates a chapter to equitable and inclusive education. This chapter focuses on identifying and addressing issues and challenges related to disability inclusion in education, as well as providing recommendations for bridging the gaps and reducing disparities in access and participation for all learners.

By actively incorporating these principles into educational policies and practices, we can work towards building a more inclusive and equitable society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to the fullest extent of their abilities.
